Life indeed is filled with good and bad situations, but we only notice the bad ones. That’s because bad situations affect us more. We begin to doubt ourselves and our abilities. We become frustrated. We then start to wonder if it’s even going to be worth it, as opposed to being in a good situation, where we feel that nothing can go ever wrong.

Sure, we can’t really avoid bad situations. No matter what we do, no matter how careful we are, our decisions could still lead us to bad situations. Most people tend to be cautious with their choices as to prevent bad situations. Having to anticipate everything that can happen in your life is exhausting, more so if after all your efforts you realize that the end product was the same. It didn’t make a difference that you had to go through all that trouble. Well, if that’s the case then how can we ever hope to accomplish our goals? I mean, yes we will simply be blocked by another bad situation, forcing us to go back to square one once again.

Well, the secret isn’t really how to prevent it. Rather, how you handle it will do the trick: you need to learn how to turn a bad situation into a good one. Even professional coaches like John Calub will agree it’s the right thing to do.

So, let’s get started?

Take charge of your thoughts

Bad situations are caused by external forces, but it’s not like we can do anything about it. We can’t control bad situations, but we can control how we react to it. So, my point here is no matter how horrible a situation may seem we should still stay focused on our previous plan, our course of action. We shouldn’t let bad situations rattle us to the point of giving up. We become emotional when facing with negative situations, but we can’t just let our emotions maneuver our lives. It’s our mind and logical thinking that should be leading our lives. Doing that, we can stay on top of our goals.

Learn from bad situations

A bad situation is only as bad as you want it to be. Actually, there is no good or bad situation. A situation is a situation. It only becomes good or bad when we say it is. Sure, we can tell from a mile away whether a situation is bad or not, but it all depends on how we look at things.

There are two ways to look at a bad situation: (1) looking at the fact that nothing is going right, and that you’re going to have to choose between being a failure or starting all over again (2) or looking at it as a learning experience, which you can use later on for the advancement of your business.

Stay positive.

Nothing could go wrong with a positive attitude. Even if you were faced with all the problems in the world, you’ll still manage to get yourself back up. That’s because you’ll be more focused on how to surpass the challenges rather than dwelling on the thought of the misfortune.

When you have a positive attitude, you see the solution to every problem. Instead of feeling down for yourself, you seek ways on how to win over the situation.
